grid overlapping after converting

after downloading .docx files from internet, the document is in the compatibly mode, and after converted(upgraded), the grids(including text) in the document are overlapped. why this happens?? (the text is in Sinhala, you mayn't understand)

When a .docx file that was created using an earlier version of Word (2003, 2007 or 2010) opened in Word 2013, it would open in compatibility mode.

You may check compatibility between the files to see what features are supported before converting the file to Word 2013.
