Can't access online content like pictures and templates from office.com

Our school recently installed Office 2013.  Now most of us cannot get any online pictures or online templates for Word, etc.  We get a message that we do not have internet connectivity, even though we are able to access the internet otherwise.  Our internet connection is fine.  Is this an issue with our firewall?  Is it how permissions were set up on our server?

Can you give me some ideas how we can begin to fix this?  This you.

Hi,

What is the default browser you are using?

If IE, you may troubleshoot the Internet connection error using the following link.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/troubleshoot-internet-connection-problems

You may use a different browser and check if you are able to download pictures and templates from Office.com

You may also delete all the browsing history, cache and the temp files from the browser and check if you are able to download the templates.

You may start the computer in clean boot mode this would disable all the non-Microsoft applications and the antivirus which could be one of the not receiving emails in Outlook.

Refer the article below to start the computer in clean boot:

Note: Ensure to restart the computer in normal mode after completing the troubleshooting steps.

I hope it helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Thank you, but we've tried these things. It has to do with our network.  It is affecting many people on our network.  It happens on all browsers. Somehow the office programs think we have no Internet connection.  However, that is not true because we can easily access the Internet.  We do not get a message that our firewall is blocking the online content, but I wonder if the firewall is involved.  Our network people should be able to figure this out, but they haven't. Is there a better forum I should try that is geared to network problems?
