6 Digit Code to receive Remote Assistance for Office

How do I get a 6 digit Code? Microsoft has only sent me 7 digit Codes. I was online with a tech and could not complete the remote assistance (after an hour of our time).

I spent many hours before I finally got to technical assistance. And then, after receiving an earlier 7 digit code from Microsoft, they asked for a 6 digit code to continue. Very, very poor customer help with this company.

This is useless.  I was on the phone for almost 15 minutes when they offered to call me back if I pressed 1.  I pressed 1 and it cut me off and said the call could not be completed.   So I tried on-line assistance and I am told I need a 6-digit code.  I jumped through every hurdle but am left with only a 7-digit code.

I guess Microsoft support is designed to make people go away angry.

You can't get a technician without the 6-digit code.  Instead of brushing us off, why not just tell us where to get the code.  The hurdles one has to go through to get help is ridiculous.

Why don't you start a new thread in which you provide details of your version of Office and Windows and describe the problem that you have and one of your peers may be able to help you solve it.

I only have a 7 digit code also....I did not ever get a 6 digit code.
