Outlook 2013 showing "sent" email as "draft" item in "Sent" folder.

I have updated from Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2013 and able to configure my IMAP email account without much problem. 

However, facing serious issued with the Sent Items. 
I am able to compose and send email. 
Email is received by the recipient. 
Sent message move to "Sent" folder (IMAP) BUT it shows as a draft in "sent" folder. 
No time stamp of sent message, No options to reply and forward. 
Instead, it shows as a draft ready for further editing and sending..... 

Please guide.

Do you face the same issue if you log on to webmail?

If no, you may remove and re-add the email account in Outlook and check if it works fine.

 

If the above the steps fail create a new Outlook profile using the article below and check if it resolves.

- Sent items are showing at webmail too.... but in draft form as in Outlook.

- I have already removed and recreated my email account but no improvement.

I've exact same problem. This happens only on Outlook 2013 64 bit in IMAP connection in my case. 

From the outlook logs I could make out that it is happening because outlook issues Append command with \DRAFT flag as following.  

 Raw (01): vs8c APPEND "Sent Items" (\Draft) "12-Jun-2013 04:42:00 +0530" {2669} 

I am trying  to find out what is causing outlook to change it's behavior.  Seems Bug in Outlook 2k13 x64 ?

Other Observations - 
1. Email  displays properly in OWA 
2. Issue is not obseved with Outlook 2K10 x64 and Outlook 2K13 x86 
3. I don't think this issue has anything to do with profile as I am able to replicate this on different machines
4. Issue is observed on Windows 7 & B both.

Same problem with Win 7 and Office 32 bit.

 

To be more precise, the emails appear in the Sent folder but they are not removed form the Drafts.

I think your scenario is different.  In our case email we don't save email in Draft folder instead the problem is email displays as draft in Sent Item folder of sender.

Has anyone found a fix for this issue?

 

I'm running Outlook 13 x64 with one account set up as IMAP on four different devices (desktop, laptop, tablet and phone). I am on the laptop right now, and there are quite a few messages that I sent from the desktop that are showing as drafts in the Inbox of the laptop. The curious thing is that not all sent messages from the desktop are showing, just some. I have not been able to determine if there is any commonality between the messages that are showing in the drafts folder.

 

Any help would be appreciated!

Many messages, apparently all sent items are appearing in the "drafts" folder. This started only some time after installing outlook, with only a few random items. Now it seems to transfer as many items as there are, i.e I get hundreds of itmems appearing in "drafts" daily. I have removed and re-added my gmail account, but the problem persists
