Oulook 2013 unable to send emails Error: 0x800CCC13

Good evening,

I have 3 x emails account and am using outlook 2013 to access them and save emails, 1 is @BTCONNECT.COM, 1 is @BTINTERNET.COM and 1 is @OUTLOOK.COM.

I can receive emails on all of these, (the first 2 are POP3), however, when I try and send emails from any of these accounts, I am unable to so, getting the following error:

Sending' reported error (0x800CCC13) : 'Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem.'

If I go onto the web and access these account using the web interfaces I can send and receive ok.

I have contacted BT - No help.

I have reset all the setting and when selecting test testing, I get every is setup fine

Any suggestions advice would be gratefully accepted

Many Thanks

Sandy.

Hi Sandy,

I would need more information to assist you better.

  • Are you trying to send a large attachment?
  • Is there any email stuck in the Outbox?

If there is any email stuck in the Outbox folder, let's move it or delete it and then try sending emails and verify the result.

If the issue still persists, follow these steps and check if it helps:

Step 1:

Try Working in Outlook safe and check if it helps. To know how to start Outlook in Safe mode, follow the steps below.

Go to Start > Copy and paste the following command line in the ‘Search programs and files’ box and Press Enter.

Outlook /safe

If Outlook safe works as expected, disable the add-ins as suggested below:

a. Click on File menu.

b. Click Options.

c. Click Add-ins.

d. Click on Go button besides Manage: Com-Add-in.

e. Check if there are add-ins listed, clear the checkbox to disable them.

f. Close the Outlook and restart it.

Step 2:

Remove and re-add the email accounts.

Refer to the following link for the more information:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/web-apps-help/set-up-email-in-outlook-2010-or-outlook-2013-HA102823161.aspx?CTT=1

Step 3:

Create a new profile in Outlook and set it as default. To know how to create a new profile for Outlook, refer to the link below:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/outlook-help/create-a-profile-HA102749460.aspx

I hope this information helps.

Reply with the results to assist you better.

Thank you.

Hi Sandy,

Try working in the Clean Boot mode. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update.

Refer to the following article to for more assistance:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting.

Thank you.

I'm having exactly the same issue using Win10 / Office365.

Reply to an existing mail Works, but sending a new mail does not.

It is a new problem just experienced a few days ago. I have upgraded to Win10 a couple of weeks ago.

Have tried to remove and reconfigure imap account

Same mail-config works well from Ios devices, so has nothing to do with ISP/mail-server.

Ditto.  I have just upgraded to Windows 10. I am using Outlook 13 and have BT as my email server.  I can send test emails from the "set up routine", and I can respond to emails, but I cant send them.

I have tried deleting my email account but it still does not work.  It is not helped by the fact BT Help tool does not support Windows 10.

I also can't try the safeboot for Outlook as suggested.  Any more ideas?
