Shortcut for closing a document

I have MS Office 2010 Starter, and haven't been able to find a Word close document shortcut, instead of having to use File then Close.  Is there such a shortcut available?
The default shortcuts corresponding to File > Close are Ctrl+W and Ctrl+F4.

If the option to "show all windows in the taskbar" is not checked, the shortcut Alt+F4 closes all open documents and quits from Word. (I'm not sure whether the Starter edition includes that option.) If that option is checked, and if you have more than one document open at the same time, Alt+F4 will close only the one that's currently selected; if there is only one document open, Alt+F4 will close the document and quit from Word.
