Is it possible to indicate the presence of a form field, e.g. by a background colour, which then reverts to the normal background (white) when the field is populated?
Word has the option to turn formfield shading on/off, but that status cannot be made to vary according to what's in the formfield. Furthermore, you have to have it for all formfields or none. The only other possibility would be to use an on-exit macro
for every formfield in the document to, say, highlight/unhighlight the formfields.
