Unspecified Error, word/document.xml, Line:2, Column: 0

Dear all,

I have a corrupted .docx document. I have tried everything I could find googling, but nothing seems to work. My problem seems to be similar to the fellow member rowandmf from the thread

Hi Sefram,

Thank you for asking.

Verify that you have Office 2010 Service pack 1 installed. To do that open Word, click on File and Help. You may refer to the following article which contains the download link for Office 2010 Service pack.

If issue persists, run the ‘Fix it’ from the following article and check if it helps:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2528942

Incase if you have issues running the Fix it, follow the steps mentioned under “Let me fix it myself”.
