"The directory name is not valid".

I am unable to open a specific saved document.  Instead, I get, "The directory name is not valid."  Can anyone help me?  I need that document.

Are you trying to open it from the list of Most Recently Used files?  If so, the file may have been moved or deleted from the directory that is retained in the MRU file list.

 

If that is the case and you still have the file on your computer, you will need to navigate to the folder in which the file is now located.
