Table cell borders disappear when document converted to PDF
Why do my table cells (some with shading, some without) boarder lines disappear when I convert my word 2010 document to PDF - this mostly happens with the top boarder but randomly with side boarders as well. Could it be something to do with my default
cell margins?
The issue was caused by the use of top and bottom margins in the cells in the table. If those margins are removed (set to 0) and the spacing is achieved by the use of space before and after the paragraphs in the table, the problem goes away. It could probably
also have been achieve by setting the row height to an at least setting, but in the case of the table in Heather's document, that would have necessitated accessing multiple rows and setting the row height individually whereas just selecting the table and adjusting
the space before and after paragraphs, can be done in one hit.
