Pasted text doesn't conform to new margins

I am attempting to copy text from a small pop up box with a text space of only 2 inches.  When I paste into my new word document (with 1 inch margins) the text does not fill out the word document.

 Can anyone help?

This was my reply to Jennifer:

Hi, Jenifer,

I'm not sure why the find and replace didn't work for you. Your file was  just as I suspected it would be, and the basic method worked for me.  Even though I used 3 steps, it took just 3 or 4 minutes.  Because the whole document had end of line returns, I didn't bother with selecting anything first and just placed the cursor at the top of the document then:

Step 1
Find what:  ^p^p    (2 paragraph marks to preserve the paragraphing)
Replace with: XXXX

Step 2

Find what:  ^p
Replace with:    (space)

Step 3
Find what: XXXX
Replace with: ^p

If you also want to get rid of the variable spaces at the beginning of the paragraphs, you can search for a paragraph mark followed by white space (or any number of spaces)

Find what: ^p^w
Replace with: ^
