Only see tracked changes in Protected Mode

When a customer emails a Word 2010 document with tracked changes enabled (their changes are in read or underlined) I can only see their red line changes when I open the document in Protected Mode. If I Enable Editing, their red text reverts to black text and their underlines disappear.

I can't save the document with their red line changes and I cannot print the document.

How di I change this?

Thanks.

Answer
OK, the screenshot explains the problem. "Insertions" (= text added when Track Changes is enabled) has been set to "(nothing)" which means that they won't display at all. Change it to "Underline." Similarly, change "Deletions" to "Strikethrough" (or whatever you prefer among the offered options). Click OK to close the dialog box, and then everything should look normal.
