Is there a V-dot in Word?

Want a 'rate' symbol for volume (V), which would have dot above the V.  Anyone? I see Z, and lots of others, but not V!
Answer
Answer

Try this (edited for simplicity):

  1. Type a capital V.
  2. Immediately after the V, type 0307. The result on screen should look like this: V0307
  3. With the cursor just past the "7," press Alt+x (hold down the Alt key and press "x") to trigger the Unicode "dot above" character.

You should end up with this: V̇

However, your results may differ depending on the font you're using. The above formula worked OK with Arial, Times New Roman, and Calibri.

Hope this helps.
