Inserting image in Word screws up the saved pdf

http://postimg.org/image/61nozia4p/

When I have a image in Word, and I save the Word file to pdf, it messes up the text color in the saved pdf.  The link above is a screenshot of it.  In Adobe Reader I invert the colors to make it easier on my eyes, but as you can see the text color switches on the page that I have the image.  I think it has something to do with the image formatting, but I don't know what.  Help?

Hi Hugh,

Please upload the screenshot of the issue as I was not able to view the screenshot.

To add screen shot, click on Add image > Browse and select the screen shot > and then click on Upload.

Hi Hugh,

  • Are you using the inbuilt PDF converter in the Word or not?
  • What is the type of font you are using in this specific document?

Create a test document and check if this issue occurs or not.

Thank you.

Yes, I'm using Word's PDF converter (save as Adobe PDF).
The Font is New Times Roman, regular, size 12.

Hi Hugh,

Are you able to work with the test document?

If the issue occurs in the new file as well, then refer to suggestions in the following KB article to troubleshoot problems that occur when you start or use Word:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921541/en-us

Thank you.

I uploaded a test file to
http://speedy.sh/3TrFu/test.docx

After I save that to pdf, in Adobe Reader, I invert the colors (black background, white text) by going to Edit/Preferences/Accesibility/Custom Color.

After you do that you will see the problem with 1st page having black text, and the 2nd page having white text.  For some reason the 1st image messes up the background, while the 2nd image doesn't.
