How do I create a numbered list with 3 digits in Word 2010?

I want a numbered list that's 001, 002, 003, instead of 01, 02, 03.

Answer

If you are creating a single-level numbered list, do the following: Click the arrow on the Numbering button (in the Paragraph group on the Home tab), and then click Define New Number Format. Use the "Number style" box to specify the "001, 002, 003, ..." format.
