I'm using the heading feature in MS Word 2010 and most of my headings work perfectly. However, one heading in particular (Heading 4) makes the text of the entire paragraph jump to the next page. There is plenty of room for the text on the existing page,
so I'm confused. I've right-clicked on the paragraph, selected "Paragraph", went to the "Line and Page Breaks" tab, and made sure that "Page break before" and "Keep with next" are both unchecked. Please help!
You probably (correctly) have "Keep with next" in Heading 4 because you would want the heading to stay with the rest of the text. So click on the paragraph mark in the Home tab to show hidden text. Make sure there are no manual line breaks (instead of
paragraph marks) in any of the text that follows Heading 4. If the next paragraph or two have manual line breaks that could be what is causing the text to stay together.
