Grouping SmartArt

I am using Office 2010 and making a very large org chart.  I wanted to group each division under it and my group button is not active.  Can anyone else group in SmartArt?
The text wrapping of the items that you want to group must be something OTHER THAN In-line with text

It says in-line with text but it will not let me change it.

If you click on the frame surrounding the Smart Art, you will be able to change the wrapping.

You cannot change the wrapping of the individual items within the frame however.

Thank you, that changed the line wrap but my group button is still grayed out and I cannot use it.

You will need to do it to both(all) of the items that you want to group and then select them both(all) by holding down the CTRL key while you click on them.
