Files being saved in Temp folder not sure why...

This is really frustrating...

 

I have a zipped folder which I have saved in My Documents.  When I open each Word file they are in read only, I have to convert and save the file as another name,  It wont let me save the new file in the same folder but ends up wanting to save the files in a Temp folder...why is this happening?

Extract the file from the zipped folder to a regular (not compressed) folder. Work on that copy, save it and close it, and then copy or move the file back to the zipped folder.

Word (and most other editors) can't save directly into a compressed folder, because they don't have code to do the compression.
