Eliminating pinned documents from the "Quickly Access recent documents" part of File Menu

In the recent documents part of the file menu, I can see the seven pinned documents that I have pinned at the top of the list. Is there any way to get rid of the pinned documents from this "Quickly Access" list on the File menu? I'd only like to see UNpinned documents there. Since I have it set to show only ten, there is room for only three unpinned, and seven pinned files. I'd like to keep it at ten, but have the ten only be the ten most recent, unpinned or not--but not to show me all my pinned documents first.

I am NOT talking about the File>Recent path, but only what you see when you simply click on the File menu itself.

Sorry, the design is for the pinned documents to be at the top of the list, and there is no way to change that.

I have to ask, though, why you set the list length to only 10. Why not 15 or 17?

I have made it higher in the past, but then it pushes down all the other options on that file menu, that are below the Quick Access list. I just made it 12, and that is as much as I can get before other items are lost. Now I remember why I put the Recent Files list on my QAT--I think I might go back to that--it saves a click anyways.
