Creating brackets in WORD

How can I create brackets in WORD ?

I have what is in effect a 3-column table, but many of the entries are bracketed together in the manuscript.  How can I duplicate this in WORD?  Or Excel, it it's easier?

Go to the Insert tab and in Illustrations section of the ribbon, expand the Shapes item and in the Basic Shapes collection, there is a Double Brace and Left and Right Braces.
