Can't create a new folder under save as in any Office 2010 program

When I use "save as" to save a file from any Office 2010 Program the button changes color when I click on "New Folder" but nothing happens.  A few months ago this was working but not now.  Any suggestions?

Are you able to create new folder using Windows explorer?

I can not create a new folder in Windows Explorer either.  I did the repair and restarted the computer but it did not help. I still can not create a new folder in any office programs or Windows Explorer.   Any other ideas?

Boot the PC to safe mode then in Explorer see if you can create a folder, if you now can it means a third party utility is preventing you creating a folder when run normally

What maintenance utilities have you installed?

Are you using a Guest win7 account and not an admin account?

I booted the PC in safe mode and still could not create a folder in Explorer.  I am running as the administrator.   I installed Smart Pc Care, Systweak Photo Studio, Disk Speedup and RegClean Pro but all after I have had this problem.  I have another problem that I thought was not related.  When I try to play a video that needs Adobe Flash in Internet Explorer I get a message that I need to install Flash.  When I do it appears to load and I reboot and Internet Explorer still does not recognize that I have Flash installed.  If I [lay the same video in Google Chrome it plays normally. Incidentally,  when I save a website address in favorites in Internet Explorer I can create a new folder to put it in.  Any other ideas.  Thanks  topjon

The third party optimisers you installed, Smart PC Care, RegClean Pro etc. will have trashed your system

No,  I can't create a new folder in my word application of Windows either.

The link above only allows me the option to uninstall my office software.   There is no option to "repair".  What else should I try?

Since you do not have the option to repair due to corruption of Office suite, you may uninstall and reinstall Office application and verify the status.
