After inserting an object – pdf – Open dialog box keeps appearing.

Hello,

I am helping a friend with a very large document. We have inserted a couple of pdf documents (both one page documents) as objects. Now, for some reason, the Open dialog box keeps showing up. Any ideas what I did to cause this and/or what I can do to make it stop showing up?

As per the description provided, it looks like the Open dialog box pops up again and again in Word.

 

Before we proceed I would require some more information to assist you better.

 

Does the issue occur with a specific file or all Word documents?

 

To resolve the issue, let us open Word in applications safe and then verify the results.

To do that, press the ‘Windows + R’ key on the keyboard.

In the Run open box type in ‘Winword /safe’ and hit ok.

Note: There is a space between Winword and /.
