Add Two-word words to MS dictionary?

Is it possible to update the custom dictionary with two-word words?  For instance, I'd like to add "Bandar Abbas" (the name of a city in Iran) to the custom dictionary, but I don't want "Bandar" to be a separate word or "Abbas" since that could lead to problems with words like "Banter" and "Abbey" or something.

Also, what about something more difficult like "Dar es Salaam".  I'd hate to have "Dar" as a word on its own, or "es".  That would create a lot of problems!

Mastering the Spelling Checker

I know of no way to do this. Even with non-breaking spaces it does not happen. Word recognizes the separate words.

You can, though, create a custom character style (formatted just like your other text) that has the attribute of "do not check spelling or grammar." (See link above.) If that style is applied to your names, they will not trigger the spellchecker, on your computer or on others.
