Wildcard searches in Outlook 2010

I've been trying to do wildcard searches in Outlook 2010. I can't get it to work (for example, I can't search for test.* or ??.*

Any ideas on this, or am I just missing something?

Outlook doesn't do wildcard searches. it should search for test. ok - it only finds words beginning with the search term though.
