Outlook/hotmail synchronising problem

I keep getting this error message when I try to sync my outlook and hotmail emails. 

task: Hotmail Folder Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error (0x800CCC0D): 'The server could not be found.'  -

I don't know how to rectify the problem.  I have tried resetting my windows live password but it still won't connect properly to messenger and hotmail.

In my windows live mail when I try to sync my hotmail I get this message

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (racheldowdell) account. The sign-in name you entered doesn't exist, or your password is incorrect.

Server Error: 0x80048821
Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048821

 

I don't know why they are not connecting.  As I said I have tried to reset my password but it still won't work.

1.       Close Outlook.

2.       Go to Control Panel >> Programs and Features and uninstall “Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector”

3.       Install the appropriate Outlook connector

4.       You should have 14.0.5139.5001 installed which can be checked in Control Panel’s Programs and Features again.
