How to move subfolders out of folder in Outlook 2010

I'm pretty sure this is an easy fix but, I accidentally but a folder inside another folder to create a sub folder, and I want to get the sub folder out of the folder. I logged onto windows live hotmail, and the sub folder was in the folder, and I don't know how to get it out.

Could someone possibly help me?

Create a new folder where you want, then move over the emails from the incorrect folder to the correct one, and then once you have all the emails in the correct location, delete the emails and the incorrect sub folder.

Try to avoid dragging and dropping items, it always leads to problem.
