I had Office Enterprise 2007 on my computer and I added Access 2010. They ran fine for 4 months and then I started getting the side by side configuration error. sxstrace gives the following:

I am not experienced enough to know where to go from here. I have considered buying Office 2010 but since Access 2010 will not run even after I remove Office Enterprise 2007 and Access 2010 and reinstall Access2010 I am not sure this will fix it. I have even considered reformatting the hard drive. Please help!
Hi SailBoat7JS,
Normally this type of problem is not specific to Access, but tends to be related to a mismatch of certain files on your machine. In your case, it appears the problem is related to VC90.CRT, which I believe is included with C++ Redistributable files on a machine. In the past, I have been able to resolve issues like this by removing all the C++ Redistributable files on the machine through the add / remove program list, then installing all of them again. With that being said, I don’t know if this will have any adverse effects to other applications on your machine, but you are able to try the steps below at your own risk.
1. Uninstall ALL of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files listed within the Add / Remove program list. There could potentially be several versions of each file listed for 2005, 2008, and 2010. Ex: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable, Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64), Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable.
2. Download and install all of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files from the X86 list below in the order listed.
3. Navigate to msaccess.exe on the machine and rename it to msaccess.old. You may need to show file extensions before doing this. You can usually find it located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\msaccess.exe.
4. Launch Access 2010 from the start menu by navigating to it in the Program list or by searching for it. Don’t launch it via a Pinned Item on the taskbar.
