Hi Stefan

thank you for your response. We have tried the Same thing. Even created a dummy link pointing to the same URL but did not work.

The URL is valid and correct. This was verified multiple times.

When you rest the mouse pointer on the link, does the path look correct?

Does this happen with one document only? Can you share the document (remove any sensitive information first)? For example, upload the document to SkyDrive/OneDrive and post a link here.

Hi Stefan, can you tell me what your advice was on hyperlinks not working?   If I type in hyperlink myself, it works.  But if I copy it into Word from a site and try to open it, it doesn't.   Here is an example:

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has been tracking adoption rates of EHR in hospitals for several years through its HIMSS Analytics™ program, having access to the vast majority of hospitals in the U.S. They describe an 8-stage model of adoption: from Stage 0 being hospitals that do not have even the 3 key ancillary systems implemented (laboratory, radiology, and ****) through hospitals that are considered to have a complete EHR, including HIE (Stage 7). Based on a point system, the model is as objective as possible and accounts for degree of adoption by awarding additional points for full adoption across the hospital, where early implementations may only be adopted on one nursing unit or in one department. Stage 7 and 6 hospitals are identified on the HIMSS web site:

http://www.himssanalytics.org/hc_providers/emr_adoption.asp

Recently HIMSS added a similar model for ambulatory care, although does not yet have a survey instrument in place to evaluate level of adoption. Both the hospital and ambulatory care models are illustrated in this link .

Here is the message I receive when I try to open any link:

I guess that Playapobla edited the URL in the Hyperlink dialog box; it isn't clear what exactly he/she did.

You should be able to paste hyperlinks into Word, assuming of course that you are pasting formatted text. If you paste using the "Keep Text Only" (or "Unformatted Text" in the Paste Special dialog box), hyperlinks won't be preserved.

Note that when you want to add a picture to a post in this forum, you can't paste it into a Reply (or Edit) window. You have to save the picture to your hard drive and then use the Insert image button on the little toolbar in the Reply window. (If you want to take a screen shot, you can use the built-in Snipping Tool in Windows, which does a decent job.)
