Word docs copying to Office Picture Manager?

Recently all Word documents have copied into Office Picture Manager (2007) where they can only be opened by right click and selection of programme. What is the likely cause and how can this be resolved please? System is Windows 7.

Move them from the My Pictures Library to My Documents

Hello Alan,

 

Do you mean by the Word 2007 documents icons are changed into Office Picture Manager?

 

There might also be an issue with the file association not set to Word 2007 application.

 

Try the steps below to correct the file association and check.

 

1.  Right click on any of the Word file which has problem.

2.    Select ‘Open With’ from the pop-up menu.

3.    Click Choose default Program.

4.    Select Microsoft Word in the Programs box.

5.    Check ‘Always use the selected program to open this kind of file’.

6.    Click ok and try to open the file.
