Pictures not showing in Word 2007, but print OK

When I start the computer, I get a message saying something like "unable to find module ..../cnmss" and I now can't see pictures in Word 2007, though they print OK. I have looked at existing questions about not displaying  pictures, but couldn't find anything that helped.  Hope someone can!

Do you see the error message when you start Word, or when you start your computer? There is an important difference...

If the message occurs in Word, it could be referring to a Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code module. See if starting in Safe mode eliminates the message. (To start in Safe mode, exit Word if it is currently running. Hold the Ctrl key as you start Word the way you usually would. When asked about Safe mode, click yes.)

For assistance with the invisible pictures, take a look at http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/invisiblegraphics.htm.

Thanks for that, but the message comes when I start the computer, unfortunately.  Any more ideas.
