Endnote X6 tab disappeared from Word 2007

I am using Endnote X6 with Word 2007 on Windows 8 and both the Endnote tab and add-in in Word options have disappeared. Have tried doing a repair on Office through set up but no good. Can anyone help please?
Does Endnote still appear in the list of programs under the WIndows Control Panel>Programs utility?

Thanks for replying.

Yes it does and Endnote itself appears to be working fine. Everything was working fine, I was away from the study for a couple of weeks and when I started again, the tab was suddenly missing.

Perhaps try repairing Endnote via the Control Panel as that may reinstate its links to Word.

 

If that doesn't work, see if there is a Support facility\Forum for Endnote and try and get assistance from there.

Thanks Doug.  I will try that. I'll let you know how I go. Endnote could be the problem. I read of a similar problem in another forum with an older version of Endnote, where Word crashed and when it re-opened the tab was gone. They could still see the add-in in the Word options though.
