Where has the clip art gallery gone?

I have always linked straight to the gallery from within a program, eg Word by clicking on the Clips online link.  Now when I click it all I get is the main office.com homepage but if I click on Images it does not take me to the gallery but to an article which is no help at all.

Where have all the images gone?

Oh no.  That makes me really sad.  I'm sure it does many other people too :(

I clicked on your link, thank you.  However I have to say I dont understand what it says.  I'm not completely computer illiterate but close ;)  I have no idea what a "ribbon" is and I am working with Office 2003 so insert tab and online picture buttons do not exist.

I have 2007 on another computer but find it so difficult to make the switch as it looks so different.  Mind you it looks like I would have the same problem with 2007 too.

I wish big companies would not make major decisions like this, running rough shod over us little (and generally older people).  Makes me want to give up trying when I finally get used to something and then they "improve it" which generally means its less user friendly, has less functionality and costs more

RIP beloved gallery

Its a search on Christmas but the search box is there so you can just overtype with what you are looking for

What the link says is that MS has changed the US site to display instructions for uses of Office 2007, 2010 and 2013. They don't include instructions for Office 2003 because MS expects you to "upgrade" away from it ...

The "ribbon" is what you see in 2007 (and later) that "improves upon"

This seems to be a very unfirendly user approach.  Why have clip art ability if there is no library to access? Why would Microsoft stop supporting a function that is key to it's products use?

Note that clipart is still supported; it just isn't installed locally. You can find it at http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/images/a-site-to-see-clip-art-HA010201923.aspx.

Why did MS change?

My best guess would be lawyer problems ...

Actually... there is something to be done.

I was a Windows & Microsoft user for 20 years.  I switched to MAC and can I say... it is like breathing fresh air for the first time!  Love it.  Would NEVER go back.

Sorry Microsoft... you aren't customer-oriented.  Never have been.  I just didn't realize the alternative was right under my nose.
