Spell check is overriding acronym HSI to HIS.

I even tried entering HSI into the dictionary.  Spell check is automatically changing HSI to HIS.  How can I permanently prevent spell check from talking total control?

This sounds like AutoCorrect rather than spellcheck. Click the Office button and then click Word Options. In the Proofing category, click the AutoCorrect Options button. On the AutoCorrect tab, see if the list of AutoCorrect entries include "HSI" (with "HIS" as the replacement). Delete the entry. You may want to clear the option to "Automatically use suggestions from the spelling checker." Click OK twice.
