icloud settings does not work for outlook 2016 for win
I have just upgraded to office 2016 for win/pc.
I found out the icloud panel won't set properly for outlook 2016 which is essential for my work.
I need to use outlook to sync with icloud calendar and mails etc.
Could microsoft solve this asap?
thanks

There is nothing to solve for Microsoft here. Apple still hasn't updated their iCloud application and add-in for compatibility with Outlook 2016.
Contact Apple support and ask them when they plan to release a version that is compatible with Outlook 2016.

Outlook.com isn't hosted on Exchange yet, that is currently still in a closed Preview stage.
If your client supports Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) connections, then you should be able to configure it with m.outlook.com as the mail server.

Thanks Roady. I have another question. From my knowledge, outlook.com have been in the process of being migrated to exchange online. It seems that my account looks like an exchange online but i can't set the exchange account on mac.
I am just curious to know how to you know if your outlook.com account has been successfully migrated to an exchange server? They say that all users will be upgraded to exchange online. Any signs or confirmation of completion?
thanks

Same problem here and same finger pointing answers.
Best solution, and I'm using it, install companionlink on win pc where outlook is and sync to dejacloud ( see http://www.companionlink.com/). Install dejaoffice (Apple iOS app ) and all outlook stuff is on apple device in dejaoffice app folder on pad and phone.

In the top left corner, you'll see "Outlook Mail (Preview)" label.
As I mentioned before, it is still in a closed Preview stage. Once the Preview opens up, it is expected that it will still take about half a year to migrate all the mailboxes.

Thanks so much for your reply. Can I ask one more thing, does outlook 2016 for win support multiple exchange accounts?
If so, does the two accounts will interfere with calendars and contacts?
What I am asking is that after outlook.com becomes exchange online, will it crash with my existing company exchange mail account, in particular the calendars and contacts?
Thanks,
Jordan

Hi Roady,
Doesn't sound like your comment was directed to me but I'll expand a little on my previous answer.
I"m just a simple end user who upgraded to Outlook 2016 from Outlook 2013 on one of my two PC's. On that PC, with O2013, I was using iCloud to sync to my iPad(Air2) and iPhone (6 Plus). O2013 data synced well between the native IOS Calendar and Contact app and the Win 10 Pro O2013 desktop computer. At this point I installed O2016 but iCloud sync was gone. It didn't work. So I had a problem. Did a lot of research on the problem and it looked like iCloud to O2016 syncing was permanently going to remain broken.
I then went back to my other PC, running Outlook 2013, installed CompanionLInk(Ver 7) and got O2013 syncing with DejaCloud. Changes on the ipad or iphone show up on the PC and vice-versa (using the DejaOffice app on the Apple Devices-not the native "Contacts" and "Calendar"). Looked good with syncing using O2013. I then upgraded this machine to O2016 and DejaCloud sync kept working fine. Good solution for me.
So I upgraded the first box to Companionlink syncing to DejaCloud. O2016 was now working fine on the first box, thru DejaCloud, with the PC, ipad and iphone.
Now both boxes, running W10 Pro and O2016, using Dejacloud are working fine. This gets me back in business now so it was a good solution for me.
I purchased the two year prepaid Companion Link-Dejacloud plan and this also allows my wife's W10 Pro box to use the same solution with her ipad and iphone (setting up a different Dejacloud username for her).

Yet it works perfectly on my desktop running Office 2016 under Windows 10. Oddly though I cannot get iCloud to run on my Surface Pro 3 running exactly the same apps. How weird is that?
