Task Microsoft Exchange server reported error (0x80040111). This server is not available.

So our IT Specialist is out of town and we have a serious issue that maybe someone online can help us with.  We use Outlook 2003 at our business and yesterday we were trying to send a rather large zipped file and it would not send.  So we deleted the email and that is when we started to receive the above error message.  We can not send or receive emails now.  We have tried to reboot our server and this has not helped.  Any suggestions
Does the problem occur with every user?  Do you use Microsoft Exchange as your e-mail server?  If so, it sounds like the Exchange service is not running or there is some other problem on that server.
