Please type your user name and password error message.

Keep getting "please type your name and password" error message. Have repeatedly checked remember P/W. Use 2003 MS Office Outlook and Vista O/S.

Are you able to login to webmail using your username and password?

If yes, then try the steps mentioned in the KB article below to resolve the password prompt in Outlook 2003:
