Error "0x800ccc13", only when sending an email in outlook 2003.
Recently - the last month or so, everytime I try to send an email i get the following error occur:
{Task 'pop.googlemail.com - sending' reported error (0x800ccc13) : 'Unable to connect to the network. Check your network connection or modem.'}
I have no trouble recieving emails from Outlook 2003, but I am unable to send emails from Outlook 2003.
However, I have no trouble sending them from the gmail web browser interface. However, I strongly dislike using web browser based applications, so this is not a suitable alternative.
A few system details, if of any use:
OS: Win XP Pro, SP2.
AV: Symantec corporate, version 10.1.7.7000
Program: Office Outlook 2003
XP Pro is the way to go!

You might also try disabling Symantec - as a test - to see if the problem goes away when you do that.

Thanks for your feedback.
You can try creating a new profile in outlook and then check. The link below gives information on how to create a new profile.

Note: Email account has to be created in the new profile before you could try sending/receiving mails.
If this fails then restart your computer in clean boot mode to check if there is any non-Microsoft service interfering while sending attachments.

Note: Please follow Step 7 in the link above to restart the computer in normal mode.
