Exchange "Could not synchronize..." Error Code: -18500 on outgoing emails Outlook 2011

When 'synced' to Exchange I periodically get a "Could not synchronize..." Error Code: -18500. Happens with outgoing mail attachments of 2MB or greater. My Exchange account's limits are much higher and the IT guy (windows only) is at a loss. Updated the Exchange SP to the appropriate level. Thoughts?

That typically happens when the exchange server is misconfigured.
Most servers are properly configured for MAPI (used by Outlook for Windows) and ActiveSync (mobile devices) but the Web Services are easily overlooked.
Ask the admin to double check the Web Services settings for message size.
