DATABASE DAEMON FATAL ERROR ABOUT 30 SECONDS AFTER OPENING ENTOURAGE 2008

I GET DATABASE DAEMON FATAL ERROR ABOUT 30 SECONDS AFTER OPENING ENTOURAGE 2008.  IT HAS WORKED FOR THREE YEARS.  I TRIED TO REBUILD MY DATABASE BUT AFTER 45 MINUTES IT SEEMED LIKE IT WAS STALLED OUT.

A SOLUTION: I disconnected WIFI on my iPhone is connected via a Timecapsule. The settings on iPhone synch it to my Entourage account, I then rebuilt Entourage email database by holding down Option key while starting Entourage. This was successful and I have my email back!!. I am yet to confirm if the iphone synch was the cause of the problem. The database verification process reported no errors. Hope this helps.

Here is a thread that i started. There appears to be multiple causes of this problem. It seems to be a sudden problem with OS 10.5.8 ( i dont see it on 10.6). But, in the thread we discussed several different solutions and some very good ideas from Diane. Here is the link.

P.S. I had it come back once after doing all of the above and just had to reset the Sync services that Diane mentioned-a very useful article
