How do I uninstall Office 2008 now that I'm using 2011?
I've had Office 2011 up and running for about a month now and am ready to rid my computer of Office 2008.
But I'm unsure of where to begin. Do I need to locate my Office 2008 disc and 'uninstall' using it (God help me in finding it!)?
I've another question concerning how to install Office 2011 this spring when I buy a new computer. How do I 'unregister' my install on my 'old' Mac to install it on my new? These new licensing techniques are very un-user-friendly, it seems.
Thanks...

Answer
To remove Office 2008 you can use the source disk if you have it available but it isn't required. In your
Applications:Microsoft Office 2008:Additional Tools:Remove Office
folder you'll find the Remove Office.app - just run it. You may want to review the suggestions here before you do, especially if you've been using Entourage or want to be extra careful about retaining User Templates you've created:

When you get the new Mac use the info here to remove Office 2011 from the old one, then install the software on the new one:
