Apptix to Office 365 Cutover Migration

I am attempting to move a client from Apptix hosted Exchange to Office 365. I am running into what I think is a permissions error. The folks at Apptix are singularly unhepful (which is why the client is moving to begin with), and I have only very limited rights through a custom GUI they built. I have setup a user that has FullAccess to each mailbox. However, when I try to start the migration batch, all of the mailboxes fail. Here is the error I am receiving:

Error: MigrationMRSPermanentException: Error: MapiExceptionLogonFailed: Unable to open message store. ?(hr=0x80040111, ec=1010)? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ben,

MapiExceptionLogonFailed: indicates that Office 365 failed to logon to on-premises mailboxes during the migration. To have a further understanding of the current situation, I would like to confirm the following points
1. Are you not an admin in your client’s Office 365 subscription and on-premises Exchange as I noticed you mentioned “I have only very limited rights through a custom GUI they built”?
2. Regarding “I have setup a user that has FullAccess to each mailbox”, do you mean the migration account has been assigned the FullAccess permission for each on-premises mailbox? The on-premises account (migration admin) that you use to run a migration batch must have the necessary permissions to access all user mailboxes. You can assign the Full Access permission for individual mailboxes or assign the Receive As permission for a mailbox database.
3. Since you mentioned all mailboxes failed, can you see any mailboxes in Exchange Online Admin center (EAC)?
4. Meanwhile, as Outlook Anywhere is used during the migration, please check if you can connect on-premises Exchange server over Outlook Anywhere. To do this, you can run the following cmdlets
$Credentials = Get-Credential
Test-MigrationServerAvailability -ExchangeOutlookAnywhere -Autodiscover -EmailAddress <email address for on-premises administrator> -Credentials $credentials

Thanks for your time.

Best regards,
Ran
