Outlook 2010 cannot find Outlook1.pst file--and won't open

Yesterday I upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2010.  Before the upgrade, I uninstalled Office 2003.  After the upgrade, and a succesful set up of an email account in Outlook, this error message came up:

"Outlook Data File:  Outlook1.pst cannot be found.  Cannot start Microsoft Outlook.  Cannot open the Outlook window.  The set of folders cannot be found.  The file C;]users]myname\desktop\outlook1.pst cannot be found."

No pst file exists on my Desktop.  I then uninstalled Microsoft Office 2010, reinstalled, and the same error message.  Outlook cannot be used.

Help!!

Answer

Thanks...didn't know how to change Outlook profile, so changed the pst path to "My Outlook Data File," and it seems to be working.

BTW:  How do you search for *pst ?  Sorry, am really a novice.
