Outlook 2016 for Mac Freezes (OS X El Capitan)

Just upgraded to Outlook 2016 as part of the new Office 2016 for Mac package. Running Public Beta of OS X El Capitan (10.11). Outlook freezes (pinwheel) and I'm forced to Force Quit Outlook as a result.

There is mention of an increased level of security in El Capitan again a certain TLS vulnerability called "Logjam." Wondering if this is indeed the culprit behind the problems with Outlook. I am not noticing any issues with Outlook / Office 2016 for Mac on another Apple notebook I have. Any insights on this?

On a related note, Outlook 2016 for Mac will NOT let me export emails, calendar, etc. that Outlook 2011 for Mac offered. I don't have an issue rolling back to Yosemite but I will lose all my emails. Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks in advance for your insight / input.

Answer

okay. i just fixed it.  in the settings for email signature i removed the signature.  then closed and restarted.  The first time i tried it i clicked on the signature and it locked.  so ones i force closed and re-opened i was careful not to click on the signature, just the minus sign below. it took a minute and it though it had locked but then it dissapeared.  so i closed outlook. then opened again and now i can create a new email without it locking up.

all smiles now.
