Can I convert my own vector graphic into an editable PowerPoint shape?

I have a client requiring high-end graphic diagram design, coupled with high customizability, meaning she wants to be able to change the color/scale of a complex vector shape. I know that Powerpoint shapes are capable of this, but what about custom graphic shapes that I have created in other formats like Adobe Illustrator? Ideally, I'd like to import the shape and retain all of its path/style information. Thanks.
Answer
Answer
So you need to export from illustrator as EMF.
Inser the picture into powerpoint
when the image is on the slide, right click and choose "Edit Picture". You will see the message to convert to
powerpoint object. This will be it apart and you can apply styles from the format menu
