Search function in Outlook no longer works after upgrading to Lion


Same problem in Outlook 2011 after upgrading to Lion. Most annoying, because Outlook also lost its functionality with smart folders on top of that. Unlike Entourage, there is no possibility of doing a reset of the index inside Outlook, as far as I know. Any advice is most welcome !

Just in case this helps anyone else.  I was running into the same issue on several system that I support.  It turns out the the profile names in Outlook contained slashes which was causing Spotlight to return no search results.  Renaming the profiles and then rebuilding the Spotlight database using the "sudo mdutil -E -a" command corrected the problem on all three system.
