Poor font rendering in Windows 10 (blurry text) quite similar to that issue in Windows 8

In all apps, screen, tabs and tiles from inside Windows 10, fonts are Blurry and Hard to Read, like poor resolution or as it faults pixels.

Searching in internet, a similar problem with Windows 8 apparently was solved enabling "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays" option in Control Panel-Display menu.

I couldn't find that option in Windows 10 and the ISSUE remains unsolved.

Mention that I have updated all the drivers, and my system is as follows:

Another possibility I found in my own install, the system installed the default MS video driver

and set the resolution to 1024x768.  Once I changed the resolution to the native 1680x1050,

it looked much, much better.

I would really like to install an actual NVidia driver, but so far none available.

I have the recent but low end card, GT 610.

Hi again,

All of the above basic steps and much more were made before I reported this issue, with no success.

It results incredible that one have to make trial and error with this issue in a OS in this century.

It is so unpleasant problem I am using a virtual machine with the operating system of Apple.

Has Microsoft a real interest and respect for its users?

I have several machines running Windows and I'm thinking some of them back to return to the Windows 7 OS, and others directly being replaced by Apple OS.

TheI wonder if this is all the technical help you can provide.

I'm having this problem, too, and it's disastrous. I'm a writer and I stare at text all day. The antialiasing is all kinds of messed up, with a weird sort of "halo" effect on some pixels, odd thick-to-thin ratios in some fonts, etc. Adjusting the type and ClearType made it a tiny bit better, but it's still pretty close to a dealbreaker. I definitely won't be upgrading on my other machine until this is fixed.

I, too, using NVidia. I already tried updating the drivers.

Are you up to date with the latest build of Windows 10.

Do you have any obvious errors in the Device Manager?

Just downloaded the upgrade for Windows 10, and I'm suffering from the blurry text, too. I'm also getting some vertical distortion (stretching). I can see it in fonts and in faces or other circular/curved shapes.

Please, read my complete text. I have all my devices and drivers updated. Windows 10 is set to be automatically updated. nVididia graphics card is updated also.

No, no obvious error in the Device Manager.

All the characteristics of my main Server PC  were given on my first post, and update afer update this uncomprehensible ISSUE remains to be SOLVED.

No idea regarding what happens with Windows since 8 up to 10 version to cause this display problem.

A paradox, with Windows 7 Pro and 7 Enterprise all was right.

Any actual help from Redmond? Please.

I have taken two screenshots from a window of Outlook 2013. Watch them please:

Now project these images on a screen of 24 inches and a 1920*1080 resolution.

But you think this is acceptable in such an importan OS like Windows.

I tested Windows 10 released on four different laptops and found that on all of them text font rendering completely unacceptable. It is fuzzy, blurry, call it whatever you like but completely broken in comparison to Windows 8.1. This is on all key Windows menus and blurry font is staring in your eyes right on the start screen.

I went to BestBuy to look at new laptops that came with Windows 10. Same thing, blurry text. Windows 8.1 was fine on system fonts, only on Office 13 menus look like ****.

Because of blurry font, Windows 10 is unacceptable for me, breaking otherwise a good system.

I had to fall back to Windows 8.1 on all laptops. Microsoft - let me know when you fix Windows 10. It is unacceptable at this point.

Thanks.
