Just a few questions to get a clear picture of this issue:
1. What is model number of the Microsoft Display Adapter?
2. Are you referring to Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter?
Uninstall the wireless Network drivers which concerns the device.
To do so, you need to follow the steps mentioned below-
a) On the charms bar, select search. Type device manager.
b) Now select “Device Manager”.
c) Now expand “Network adapters” and Right Click on all the “Wireless
drivers” and select “Uninstall”.
d) Now restart the computer and check if you are able to enable the Wireless
adapters.
Now after a restart check if the drivers load automatically. If no, Install the same from the manufacturer's website.
Contact or post the issue regarding the heat issue on relevant forums say, Insignia or other related community where other users might be facing the similar issue with the same devices.
