Hi,
Menu bar and Favorites bar is hidden by default in Internet Explorer. You may follow the steps below to enable them.
Method 1.
Windows 7 in pre-installed with Internet Explorer 8 and it is not in development.
If the Menu and favorite bar is hidden on Internet Explorer 9 beta here is how you can get it back:
a. Launch Internet Explorer 9 beta.
b. Press Alt key and then choose View.
c. Click toolbar and then choose Menu bar and then again choose Favorites.
Method 2.
a. If the issue still exists I would recommend you to optimize the internet explorer.
Refer to the article below for steps to optimize the internet explorer.

Reset IE disclaimer:
Please note that running Reset Internet Explorer Settings will reset all user-defined settings including those set by installed extensions, toolbars and other add-ons to IE Defaults. This includes all Security, Privacy and Zone settings. Also this will clear
browsing history, delete all temporary Internet Files, cookies, form data and especially all stored passwords.
Method 3.
If you want to uninstall the Internet Explorer 9 beta and get back to IE 8 refer to the article below:
Hope this helps.
Support: I am having the same problems + connection to home page is very slow--ca. 1 min, about 3x the time required with IE8 and IE9beta. + links for further explanations on your answer page do not link--they just produce a blank page with the activity clock not showing. + links sent by e-mail do not link (same blank page)--though links from websites act promptly as before. Why do you guys keep making things worse with each revision?
After using IE9 for quite a few months, today I uninstalled it and went back to IE8. I need IE so that my fingerprint reader will work with passwords. It will not work, yet, on FF5.0. (If it ever does, I will probably drop IE for good.)
There were just too many problems. Websites would not open and IE9 would show errors on webpage; yet if I went to FF, the webpage opened with NO problems.
I did as much troubleshooting as a person like me can do. I do not have these problems on IE8, and if it was a little faster, I would prefer to remain, but would love to head over to FF 5.0; it is a slick, fast browser, just too bad about the fingerprint reader not working.
To roll back to IE8 was pretty painless and not bad. Happy to see that MS at least made that part of my day decent.
