"The video you have requested is either unavaliable or is being block by an Ad Blocker installed in your browser." I can't watch amazing race on CBS site.
I have windows 7 and IE8. I have looked at all the other replies, but nothing is working. What else can i do?Hi big pain,
a. Were you able to watch videos on CBS site earlier?
b. Since when have you had this issue?
c. Do you have any issues when viewing videos on other websites? Do you get the same error message on the other websites?
d. What are the troubleshooting steps that you’ve already performed?
If you have any ad blocker (add-on) installed on Internet Explorer, you may try and disable that and check if the videos play fine without any issues.
To disable ad blocker,
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools, and select Manage Add-ons.
Disable any ad blocker from the available add-ons that you have installed.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.
I'm having the same issue... while trying to watch CBS.com (upcoming survivor contestant videos)... Not sure if they are really unavailable or if it's
my pc. I don't have a pop-up blocker enabled/installed. It must be Cbs.com as other websites are working for me. @MCprole - You are probably
experiencing the same issue as I am. I highly doubt its malware/virus because I am 100% sure my PC is clean! =)
I'm having the same problem everything was working last night, I was watching some Star Trek classic episodes and today when I try to watch them again I get that messege, since the problem is within the time frame I started to have the problem and NBC works fine my guess is something to do with CBS. I even dare say it has to do with their sponsors streaming server. that just my two cents.
This morning while watching a CBS program being streamed from Hulu through Playon (WMPlayer on Windows7 through my home network) onto my Samsung LM40C630 I received this message in red font at the top of the screen after about 20 minutes into a show. The only change I made recently was to add AvaStream to my PlayOn.
I am wondering if the warning message is due to the DNLA related browser running on my TV? I am not up to speed on that technology and my Samsung's DMP (digital media player) interface has very poor control. I'm going to try viewing CBS on my PC next using WMP and see if the warning message appears.
We had the same problem on a Mac with Safari watching Medium on CBS.com. Interestingly we switched to Firefox and had the same problem with one small wrinkle. The Ads didn't play but the show continued playing with the message and the black translucent overlay on top. It made the show dark but still watchable. The other downside was that no controls were available to control the show.
This seems to be a problem with cbs.com and their ad platform. I am pretty sure it is not a PC/Mac or browser issue.
