I want to use the androgynous voice in my Windows 7 computer.

I tried:

Control Panel > Speech Recognition > Advanced speech options >
Text to Speech and clicked on the Voice pull-down. The only option listed is:

Microsoft - Anna

Clearly my installation of Windows 7 is missing all the alternative Voices.

Hi, I have Windows 7 64 bit, and have been having restart issue. Today I did AdvancedDefrag and got 3 issues: CLSID issue, Missing Start Up Software Application paths, and a "problem" with Windows sidebar.exe autorun and Microsoft shared/ink/tabtip.exe.
Haven't a clue where to start on these.

This all started with my current version of Kaspersky that has an IE 10 issue waiting for a patch. Followed instructions to uninstall IE 10 which was supposed to revert back to IE9. It says I'm running IE 9 but "About Internet Explorer continues to show
IE10. Obviously did not work. Takes days to get back into my computer now (safe mode and launch repair takes hours, but I do finally get in.)

Today I cleaned and AdvancedDefraged both C: and the Registry. Those issue above showed in the analysis. When I search for "CLSID" I get a variety of "fixes" but from unknown sources I don't trust (I've got enough computer issues with these and I don't
need any more fun trying to clean that up than you).

How can I clean these 3 issues? I am very grateful for your input.

Thanks From New Orleans!

I have a problem with my Blue Screening computer. I have recently re-installed my computer. Then it Blue Screened and because everything I tried didn't work I decided to re-install it again but the same thing occured.

System Restore doesn't work, I am using two screens, which I have used for two years & I have reinstalled previously, the hard drive got formatted before I reinstalled the PC.

I did disconnect my secondary screen yesterday and nothing happened for hours, but I haven't actually tested it yet if that is the problem.

Although I'm not doing anything differently or out of character usage-wise, in the past 5 days, Norton has notified me of high CPU usage several times- mostly 90-100% but also around 68% & above. According to Task Manager, my iexplorer.exe *32's are always
the highest, which is expected & normal for me since I *always* keep several IE tabs open.

Now I could certainly be interpreting something incorrectly but the math doesn't add up in Task Manager when this happens. In other words, the sum of the CPU users is not even close to the CPU usage number being reported. Is there another place in Windows
7 to see what my CPUs are up to? Something is running is intermittently running way in the background & I cannot ID a suspect from Task Manager. I'm afraid a virus or other malware has crept in or that the latest Windows downloads/updates are just out of hand.

Any assistance will graciously welcomed.

Thank you in advance!

~ Jennifer ~

Original title: - 0xc0000022 - Unable to run application.

Hi there.
I have been unable to run Norton 360 on my computer since renewing my licence. I contacted Norton Support and they attempted to access my computer through a remote connection, but whenever we attempted to run a support program, I had an application error message
pop up, saying that The application is unable to be started. The Norton tech said it looked like a Windows problem - with the firewall, and to contact Windows. I have received the error message seemingly sporadically when attempting to run other programs,
such as iTunes - sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Anyone able to help out? Thanks in advance!

Hi and thanks -

I have had my computer since 2009, and it works like a dream. Recently, however, after an automatic update, my computer has spontaneously began to stutter - both audio and video - exactly like in this video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocKfYNV-xHo

Furthermore, I also get some keyboard and mouse stutters.

So "when I type this sentence" . . . might appear as
"wheeeeeeeen I tpe this sennnntce" (Notice both the added and the missing characters)

This started a few days ago, and I have been scouring the messge bords for a solution. There have been messages left on THIS board with the same problem, but none of the suggested fixes (I have tried them all) have helped. So far, I have tried all sorts of
things, including but not limited to

Reinstalling video drivers
Reinstalling audio drivers
Openeing the computer and blowing out dust - cooling things down
Monitoring the CPU load (the CPU does NOT spike when the stutter happens)
Running a system restore to a point before the event happened
Running Glary, Norton and CCleaner Registry repairs
Soured the computer for viruses and malware using my Nortaon AV and Malwarebytes (both of which are resident and should be operating prophylactically anyway.)

Changing the power profile to "high performance"
Some other things I can't remember right now

I believe (but am not certain, of course) that it must be a software issue, because the exact same hardware has been doing a fine job fornearly 4 years.

My system is a W7, i7 *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. ATI Radeon 4800 series graphics card. One thing that I have noticed is that in Device manager, the processor is listed eight times. I don't think that's right, but want to check with greater minds before removing any of the
entries. (There are no "exclamation points" or anything like that.)

Thank you for your help!

My first instinct was to update all of my drivers and make sure I had all of the latest updates, I've also run several diagnostics; memory and hardware
checks, virus scans, all of it has come back saying nothing's wrong. I run a custom setup, so I've tried disconnecting various drives to no avail which leads me to believe there's a problem with the boot drive but, as I said, all of the checks I've run on it
come back saying the contrary.

I've tried to download Windows SDK to run more tests but nothing will save to the computer anymore. I've tried running system restore a few times and it always fails to complete, then when I go back, whichever system image I tried to restore to will be
gone.

I've tried swapping around the cables on all drives with brand new ones and that didn't work either so I'm kind of at a dead end, any suggestions would help.

Here's some information on the blue screen, the last few times, it has not dumped the physical memory:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. if you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced
Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

Technical information:
